A very pleasant and user-friendly app.

Super!

This app works much better than old-fashioned Trickster. Finally, there is an alternative.

Great App - Hits the spot

Does exactly what it should do with minimum fuss, quick and light with enough features to make it a necessary addition to my app collection, used daily.

No more lost downloads

This completely cured my habit of losing track of files right after I save them. It sits quietly in the background and right away pulls up exactly what I need so I never have to dig through my messy folders again.

Better Than Finder Recents

Finder Recents never showed enough, and Smart Folders felt too complex. FileBo feels like a better version of both, with no setup required.

From the beta testers

Before FileBo reached the App Store, early users tried it in beta and told us how it fit into their day. These are their own words.

I often download or save files and have a hard time remembering where I put them. FileBo is a useful tool that helps me keep track of these files. It has earned a spot in my Menubar because it saves me a lot of time.

I first got FileBo set up for my parents to make it easy for them to find their new files. I put the FileBo icon right next to the Finder icon, and they caught on really fast. The funny thing is, I started using it myself after a while: FileBo lets me get to the files I need while I'm in full-screen apps. No more bouncing between screens or opening Finder just to dig up a file I downloaded. Super easy and convenient!

As a student, I constantly find myself downloading tons of documents and files every day. Sadly, my professors don't seem to care about organizing these files, as they often have random names or just numbers. But with FileBo, my life has become so much easier! Now I can make sense of the mess of files on my Mac by quickly checking the date and location of each one. Plus, the Quick View feature lets me peek into the file to see what's inside.

I prefer to use full-screen applications to maximize the available screen space. But, as you might know, dragging files to and from Finder into full-screen apps can be a pain. FileBo makes it easier. Its window is available even when I'm in full-screen apps. This means I can quickly pick the file I need and drag and drop it into my current app without flipping through multiple screens.

I often export resources from Sketch to share with colleagues via messenger apps. However, my Desktop can become quite cluttered, making it difficult to locate the files I recently saved there. FileBo has entirely resolved this issue: all recent files, complete with nice-lookin' previews, are readily accessible with a single click, regardless of their location. Easy as pie!

I've been trying to use the Recents feature in Finder for some time, but it only shows a few of my recent files. I also gave Smart Folders a shot, but it was just too complex. Thankfully, FileBo's like a way better version of Smart Folders, without needing any setup. This app is good to go right off the bat.
