Demo books in four languages — The Custom Texts section now comes with demo books to type your way through: a verb workbook, a travel phrasebook, a Python syntax workbook and classic reading — five each in English, German, Russian and Ukrainian. Open one like any custom text and Mochi remembers where you stopped.
Start at a random paragraph — Custom texts have a new start option, so every session begins somewhere else and a long text never runs the same way twice.
Search your library — Find any text from the sidebar — demo books and your own imports alike.

Tidier right-click menu — The typing area's context menu is grouped into clear sections, and editing a custom text is one click — or ⌘T — away.

Mochi Type has switched to a freemium model — Already bought Mochi Type? Nothing changes for you. The app is now a free download with a one-time In-App Purchase that opens the full version — and as an existing buyer you already own it: everything stays unlocked automatically, forever, at no extra cost. If the app ever asks you to buy the unlock (it shouldn't), just press Restore Purchase and everything comes right back.
Reduce Transparency — A new option in Settings › General. Turn it on for solid window backgrounds instead of the frosted blur — cleaner, and easier on the eyes.

Apostrophes that match your keyboard — Words with apostrophes in Ukrainian, French, Italian and English now accept whichever apostrophe key your layout has — the native one, a straight ', or a curly '. No more errors for your own keyboard's apostrophe, and the hint points right to it.

Word Emphasis — a new Font option — The start of each word is set a little bolder — which some people find easier to follow while they type. Turn it on in the Font menu; it only changes how the text looks, never what you type.

Refined UI — A sharper full-screen keyboard and a cleaner first-run setup, now tuned for macOS Light Mode.
Full screen that fits your theme — In full screen, the background now takes on your selected theme's color instead of a washed-out system gray.
